Les bords des routes en Crète sont très souvent munies de grillages métallique pour empêcher les animaux de rentes d'être sur les routes et pour protéger les plantations d'oliviers d'être dévorés spécialement par les chèvres. Ce bruant proyer en profite pour prendre la pose dessus.
